Twin Lakes Animal Clinic is here to provide the highest level of customer and veterinary services to you, your pet, production animal, and performance horses.

Our professional and friendly staff are here to ensure your animal has the best and most current options in care.

Our Team

Dr. David Maier

Dr. David Maier grew up on a family farm Northwest of Ellendale, ND.  He attended North Dakota State University (GO BISON), and continued his education for Doctor of Veterinary Medicine at Iowa State University.  Dr. Maier accepted a position at Twin Lakes Animal Clinic in the spring of 2003.  He enjoys the challenges of both large animal medicine and companion animal medicine.  If Dr. Maier is not out working cattle, he enjoys taking care of your family pet.

Dr. Maier resides on an acreage outside of Madison with his wife Teresa and two boys, Will (15) and Drew(12).   He also has a rescue dog named Stomper and housecat named CurryKat.  Dr. Maier enjoys spending most his time with his family and his friends.  If you don’t find him spending time with his family hunting or fishing, you will find him on the golf course with his boys or friends pretty much anywhere in the state.

Dr. Brooke Braskamp

Dr. Braskamp was raised near White River, SD on an Angus beef cattle ranch.  She attended South Dakota State University, and continued her education at Iowa State University for her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine Degree.  She then completed her Equine Internship at Wisconsin Equine Clinic & Hospital in 2002 and then joined their staff for an additional 3 years.  In 2006, Dr. Braskamp and her husband, Corey, moved back to Madison where he grew up, and joined Twin Lakes Animal Clinic.  Dr. Braskamp specializes in equine dentistry, lameness and reproduction.  She also focuses on companion animal medicine and soft tissue surgery. 

Dr. Braskamp and her husband Corey, live on an acreage outside of Madison, along with their four children, Brayden age 15, Tyan age 13, Livya age 10, and Layn age 8.  She enjoys riding horses and competing in local barrel races on horses that her and her husband have raised and trained.

Dr. Sidney Bierman

Dr. Sidney Bierman grew up near Aberdeen, SD. She graduated from South Dakota State University where she received her Bachelor of Animal Science degree in 2018. After that she attended Iowa State University where she earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine in May of 2022. She is excited to join the team and work with all animals, from large to small.
In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her family and friends. She also enjoys hiking and exploring new places with her dog Brinkley, kayaking, playing sports, hunting, and reading.

Jennifer (Korb) Limmer

Jennifer has been with Twin Lakes Animal Clinic since February of 2014 and is the receptionist and office manager/bookkeeper.  Jennifer grew up in the Platte/Chamberlin area and is a 1991 graduate of Chamberlin High School. After graduation, she moved to Sioux Falls, SD, where she attended Southeast Tech, and then moved to Madison in 1994, with her former husband, wherein they raised two children, Tia age 28, and Thomas age 21.  Jennifer also has two wonderful grandchildren, Asher age 3 and Nash age 6 months.  Jennifer’s four-legged children are Peaches, who is a 5-pound Chihuahua, and three cats (who are all bigger than her dog), Zelda, Olive and Clark.

Jennifer enjoys spending time with family, baking (when she is in the mood), working on various cross-stitch projects, bowling, traveling and enjoying her four-legged critters.

Bobbie Nelson

Bobbie earned her Veterinarian Technician Degree in 2015 from Globe University, Sioux Falls, SD.  As part of the degree program through Globe University, she did her internship at Twin Lakes Animal Clinic, and was ultimately hired on full-time when her internship was finished. 

Bobbie was born in Minnesota, but grew up here in Madison.  As a child, she grew up on a farm with horses, pigs and dogs. 

She has two beautiful girls, Lily age 12 and Addison age 18 months.  She also has two cats that are 5 years old.  In her spare time, she enjoys raising and spending time with her daughters, fishing in the summer months and working on her pickup truck. 

Keefe Nelson

Keefe, or more commonly known as, “Duff”, was raised on a farming and cow/calf operation west of Madison.  He attended Madison High School, and graduated from South Dakota State University in 2006 with an Animal Science Degree.

Duff works as a Large Animal Vet Assistant and usually accompanies one of the veterinarians on farm calls to work cattle. 

He currently farms with his wife, Emily, and their two children, Aveny and Beau.   He enjoys cheering on his children and nephews in their sports activities, watching football and basketball, and on occasion will pick up a club to play golf.

Lyle Olesen

Lyle grew up on a cow/calf operation south of Arlington, SD.  He attended Arlington High School and went on to obtain a degree in Agricultural Production from Lake Area Technical School in Watertown, SD.  Lyle has worked in a veterinary clinic as a Large Animal Vet Assistant for over 30 years.  Veterinarians don’t train Lyle, Lyle trains them with his years of experience. 

Lyle resides in Madison, SD with his wife, Stacey, and their two sons, Landon and Levi.  Lyle and his boys still raise cattle and crops on the family farm south of Arlington.  Lyle enjoys working with cattle and the variety it brings.  His boys come along and help whenever they can.  Lyle also enjoys cheering his boys on at any sporting events and working with them on the farm.

Haley Eggebrecht

Haley grew up in Ramona, SD and is our receptionist and part-time veterinarian assistant. Haley graduated from Lake Area Technical College with an associate degree in Livestock Production and Management, along with a double major in Dairy Science. In her free time Haley enjoys spending time with family and friends, fishing with her husband and playing with her 3 cats, 2 dogs, and turtle.

Lynne Schultz

Lynne was born and raised in Howard and has worked for Howard Animal Clinic for over 40 years. Her love for animals started when she was young and has continued throughout the years. She’s taken in many strays and currently has a 17 year old mixed dog, Koda; a 3 year old yorkie, Mia; a 2 year old lab, Ammo; a 6 year old cat, Nala; a 1 year old donkey, Lyle and several farm cats. Lynne and her husband, Mike have two daughters, two son in laws and five grandchildren. In her free time, Lynne enjoys attending her grandchildren’s sporting events, gathering with family and friends, and in the summer reading or watching the birds on her deck, while surrounded by her flowers and plants.

Kristen Rentschler

Kristen joined the Howard Animal Clinic in 2018. She has always loved animals and grew up in a house that always had pets. Kristen and her husband, Eric have a 9 year old daughter, Kasia. They also have two cats, Rajah and Kymora; a yorkie, Sophie and three fish, Pinky, Lemon and Grapey. Kristen keeps busy with her daughters’ basketball and softball games and her four nephews’ football, basketball and baseball games. She also loves to spend time with her daughter playing games, baking/cooking, swimming, camping, and gathering with family and friends.

Erin Whitehouse

Erin is from Colman, SD where she went to school and then attended South Dakota State University. There she graduated with her BS in Animal Science and minor in Equine Studies. While at SDSU, she became certified in bovine artificial insemination (AI). Erin spent a lot of time with the Brookings Humane Society where she honed skills in small animal medicine and surgery. Her favorite things at TLAC are anything and everything equine and baby kitten rehab! Outside of work, Erin enjoys riding horses, playing volleyball, and kayaking.

Dr. Jordan Wittrock

Jordan grew up in Lennox, SD on an acreage with horses, dogs, and cats. She graduated from North Dakota State University (Go Bison!) where she received her Bachelor of Animal Science Degree with a minor in Spanish. She then went to Iowa State University and earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine in May of 2022.

In her spare time Jordan enjoys spending time with her family and friends, hiking, traveling, and just hanging out with her dog, Madee, and cat, Elliot.

Jordan is super excited to join the Twin Lakes Veterinary team and has really enjoyed meeting everyone.

Landon Olesen

Landon recently graduated from Madison High School and started here full time as a large animal veterinarian assistant in May of 2022. Landon is not a new fixture here at Twin Lakes, he has been helping his dad and the vets with working cattle during the summer months outside of school. He enjoys helping his dad work cattle on his grandparents’ farm near Arlington, SD, and spending time with family and friends.
